A message from Concert Live...

Hi Deacon Blue fans,

This is James Perkins, Managing Director of Concert Live. I wanted to take the time to explain why you guys have experienced frustrations with ordering Live CDs from us for postal orders and how we are fixing the situation.

Firstly i apologies for the delays and problems with ordering, it is extremely frustrating for you i'm sure and we are doing everything to smooth the process for the future. Basically Concert Live was a company of 2 people 2 months ago and due to demand for our service we are trying to deal with rapid growth. Exciting yes, hectic yes, teething problems, yes!

We have had to trust an external distributor with our stock as we were no longer able to do it ourselves and this transfer has had its fair share of issues. Firstly we had to transfer the database and nearly lost it, then there was configuring the ordering. Boring stuff that should have been planned and processed better and which we have fallen short on. We sincerely apologise for the inconveniences we have caused and are getting closer to providing the servivce we intended, hassle free, high quality live recordings, direct to the fans!

We are so sorry that this expansion has affected you guys as the whole reason we set up this service is to provide fans a unique and permanent memento of the live experience. It certainly wasn't our intention to frustrate live music fans!

Once again, if you have any specific questions or problems feel free to call me directly on 0208 6716174, or you can email me james@concertlive.co.uk

For those of you who had no order problems, we hope you are enjoying your CDs! For those of you still waiting, we will ensure you all get what you ordered, please bear with us. All your feedback is very valuable to us in order to provide the best service possible so please keep your comments coming, good and bad!

Many Thanks

James

I picked my Bristol CD up on the night and just want to say thanks for the product which is great, well worth the wait on the evening. How your guys did it in such a short space of time with crowds of people all around I really don't know.

Will definately be buying the ones from the next tour!

I just want to add my thanks to Concertlive here... i was at 7 of the gigs and concertlive did a great job on recording 6 of those i attended... it has meant there is a great document of the tour... and with the band doing almost 60 songs in 3 weeks it is great to have them all in official live album quality... and available 10 minutes after the gig... rather than waiting 1 year for a live album to come out or months for a radio or TV broadcast to get mixed.

The concertlive team on the night were always very friendly and professional.

I wasn't bribed to say all this... but if you wanna slip me a few left over CDs ... ;D

I agree, I love my cd from Sheffield and I do think Concertlive did a brilliant job at the gigs, despite all the hiccups which have recently occurred!
Sorry Dougie, I assumed(wrongly!) being our resident anorak you would have ordered the whole live gig set!
Can you still keep up the status of anorak without the full set?!!!!!!!! ;D

I'm sure i can have an anorak like knowledge of what's on the whole set without owning the whole lot! I just reckoned that 15 shows x £15 plus postage for 9 of the CD sets was going to be too much when i had already bought 7 tickets and a few hotel rooms plus transport and 6 CD sets when the concertlive CDs were only announced a week or two before the tour began... oh and i bought a few t-shirts too! Any mugs and hip flasks left?

I agree, the CD from Manchester was great and I have ordered Edinburgh as it has Indigo sky on it- asking for a few others for christmas too!
Alison x x x
I wish concert live had been there to record when Graeme was still here- that would have been awesome!

Good stuff from ConcertLive.

They were quick to reply re sending me the wrong CD and I'm sure with patience we'll all be delighted with the end product...

Nice of Alison to mention Graeme Kelling. I was thinking of him at the Glasgow 24th Nov gig - watching the band play a show honed over 20 years, and Graeme should have been there too.

I'm sure he was in spirit...

I'm not having much luck, was told sent, now told being will be sent in the next couple of days. At least they email you and let you know whats going on, but mine had better arrive soon as my mate who works for the BBC consumer office will be hearing how they took the cash on the day of the order and then dragged their heels! Funny how these companies take your cash easily enough but have difficulties supplying what they took the cash for :)

Well after receiving the Sheffield CD again, I have emailed them twice and still no reply..Totally agree with the previous comments in regard to taking your money and then dragging their heels. My money was taken over a month ago.Its just a shame cause the idea of the live CD's and the quality are excellent.

Think i'll keep emailing then everyday until i at least get a reply.. >:(

The processing of orders appears to be totally random, I've been waiting a month for mine yet others receive theirs within days! The logic to it all??

I got a prompt reply to my e-mail yesterday, saying they had a record of my order but the cds didn't appear to have been sent so would ask the delivery company to send them asap and I should receive them late this week or early next week.
Here's hoping
